Fisher is a director, producer, lecturer who has been creating documentary since 1989 and has gained respect as one of the leading filmmakers in Israel. From 1999 to 2008 he served as the Director General of the New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television.

A 60-year-old Palestinian and his son arrive at an archeological site of an ancient Jewish settlement and buy tickets to enter. This is their only way to return to their abandoned home village, which they have not visited for 25 years.
Screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival, and other festivals including Berlin, HotDocs, Melbourne, and Sydney. Won the prize for best short film at the Milan Film Festival.
His film Ironeaters was awarded the first prize at South-Asia Film Festival, Grand Prix, Achtung Berlin, Docaviv Israel, EARTH VISION Tokyo, CINEMAM PLANETA Mexico. He works as an independent filmmaker in Europe and Asia.
